Current Learning Plan: For the week of February 22-26th we will continue to be in the Hybrid Learning Model. Beginning on March 1st, we will move to In Person Learning on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday and Distance Learning on Wednesday. What does this mean for families? You won’t notice the difference between the two models. In school, we will continue to social distance, but will not need to follow the stricter guidelines of 50% capacity according to our space audit. Classrooms that were separated will no longer be separated. We will continue to use the desks in the cafeteria. High School students will still separate at lunch based on grade level.

Key Points: (This applies to ALL staff and students)
COVID-19 is still circulating. People are still getting sick and dying.
COVID-19 is not fair or biased.
DO NOT SEND YOUR CHILD TO SCHOOL SICK. If they get sent home they are out for 10 days or until a negative test and symptom free. Siblings are out for 14 days.
If a student is considered a close contact they will be asked to quarantine for 14 days. THIS MEANS STAY HOME!!!! (see “how do I quarantine” in COVID-19 policy) Please help us prevent the spread and keep the school open.
If someone in your home test positive ALL OTHER HOUSEHOLD MEMBERS ARE QUARANTINED FOR 24 DAYS.
BE KIND to one another. This is stressful for everyone. We are all human.
Social distancing guidelines still apply. Wear a mask, keep 6 feet apart, wash hands frequently, stay home when you are sick.
COVID-19:
Symptoms of Covid (often only 1 symptom)
Fatigue, headache, fever (can be only for an hour or so), cough, difficulty breathing, new loss of taste or/and smell, sore throat, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, muscle pain, chill.s
*All of these can be contributed to something else and I am often told they are from: not sleeping well, anxiety, asthma, stress, dry house, allergies, something eaten, colds, over doing something, etc. Please keep students home if you have any of the above symptoms.
Even if tested negative please keep home until symptom free for 24 hours.
DO NOT COME TO SCHOOL IF:
You have had any of the above symptoms in the last 10 days
Someone in the household has any of the above symptoms
Someone has tested positive in the house in last 24 days
You have been exposed to someone with COVID-19 in the last 14 days

Coronation will be held in the gym on Tuesday during 7th hour classes. Due to restrictions, NO families will be allowed to attend and only students in the Homecoming Court will be in the gym. The ceremony will be live-streamed to classrooms for students to watch and a recording will be released on social media platforms for families to view.
What about Prom?
Sadly, No prom. Social Distancing guidelines do not permit prom this year. If guidance from MDH changes we will revisit.

***REMINDERS***
Please watch your speed: Hwy 73 through town is 30 mph - the section by the school is 20 mph when students are present. It is the law to stop at crosswalks and let students/people cross there.
Picture Retake Day: Monday, Feb 22nd. Picture Retakes Day is Monday, February 22nd, starting at 8:45AM and will only be available that morning. If you would like your student's school picture retaken, click here for more information. To place an order online, here is the direct website information, which will be available for up to 48 hours after retake day.
Bring a water bottle to school.
Please remind your student to bring their water bottles. Dehydration affects brain functions, fatigue, mood, concentration, muscle strength, power, endurance, headaches, and overall health. COVID-19 also causes headaches.

The CDC released new guidance regarding travel outside of Minnesota: People who visit Minnesota, and Minnesotans returning after traveling out of state, are asked to stay away from others (quarantine) for 14 days after they arrive in Minnesota. During those 14 days, it is important that you stay home and watch for symptoms. If you must go out, wear a mask, stay 6 feet from other people, and wash your hands often. Please call if you need guidance or want information on a shortened 7 day quarantine option (includes being tested 5 days after travel).*shortened quarantine period only allowed for travel.

VACCINE INFORMATION:
Dear families,
The State of Minnesota has announced the launch of the Minnesota COVID-19 Vaccine Connector, which is a tool that helps Minnesotans find out when, where and how to get their COVID-19 vaccine.
This system is a proactive way for all Minnesotans to indicate their interest in receiving a vaccine, so that when they become eligible, they can be alerted and connected to resources to schedule a vaccine appointment.
Below is some information about the Vaccine Connector that you may find helpful.
Should I complete the Minnesota COVID-19 Vaccine Connector form?
All Minnesotans who would like to receive a COVID-19 vaccine should fill out the form to ensure they stay updated on vaccination opportunities in their area when they become available.
Who can get vaccinated now?
Demand for vaccine far exceeds supply, and Minnesotans are encouraged to remain patient as more vaccine arrives in the weeks and months ahead. Minnesota is continuing to distribute vaccines using a phased approach to immunize for impact by focusing on populations with the highest risk of getting COVID-19, as well as those most at risk of severe illness and complications if they become infected.
In Minnesota, you are eligible now to get vaccinated if you are a:
· Minnesotan age 65 or older
· Health care worker
· Long-term care resident or staff member
· Prekindergarten through Adult Basic and Community Education school staff member, or contracted school staff member
· Child care staff member at a licensed and certified child care center or program
How do I sign up?
· Signing up for the Vaccine Connector is easy, safe and secure.
· All Minnesotans 18 years of age and older should sign up, no matter their current vaccine eligibility status.
· There will be no cost and no restricted time period for signing up.
· Health insurance and personal identification forms are not required for signing up.
· Go to mn.gov/vaccineconnector to sign up.
· Minnesotans unable to sign up online can have family or friends help them sign up online, or call 833-431-2053 for assistance signing up over the phone.
· Translation is available by phone in all languages. Minnesotans can call the translation hotlines at 833-431-2053 and 651-318-0989 for assistance signing up over the phone.
· All Minnesotans have to do to sign up is provide basic information such as contact information, demographic data, medical history, and employment to determine their eligibility based on state guidelines.
· The State of Minnesota is committed to the equitable distribution of safe and effective vaccines for protection against COVID-19 and the Vaccine Connector form has included questions about gender identity, sexual orientation, race, cultural identification, and disabilities to help us track and measure equity and fairness throughout the vaccine distribution process. These questions do have the option to select “prefer not to answer” or “none of the above,” and selecting these answers will not prevent you from signing up for the Vaccine Connector.
What happens after I fill out the Minnesota COVID-19 Vaccine Connector form?
As more vaccine becomes available, the Minnesota COVID-19 Vaccine Connector will send you updates about your COVID-19 vaccine eligibility and opportunities to receive the COVID-19 vaccine in Minnesota.
In the months ahead as vaccine supply increases, the Vaccine Connector will help Minnesotans know where vaccine is in the state, find out when they are eligible to get it, and connect them to a vaccine opportunity near them — no matter where they live or their personal circumstances. Before and after you are vaccinated, it’s important to continue to take simple steps to slow the spread of illness by wearing a mask, staying 6 feet away from others, washing your hands, and staying home whenever possible
